"Coriole is a pioneer of interesting grapes in Australia, flying the flag of this great Tuscan variety before anyone else. The oak sits atop, but there is a slither of flirty grape tannin and a bite of acidity, maritime and saline, below. Refreshingly sanguine and understated. Built to age. Plums, thyme, mint and rosemary. The tannic bulwark is a little too oaky and immutable for now. Yet there is so much energy and coiled intent that I score this relatively highly with great expectations. Drink now, but can hold, too. 93 points"

"Quite dark, dense, robust expression of the variety, lots of dark-cherry fruit, serious intensity, then a flood of meaty tannins. Very good indeed, with a long life ahead. 17+/20"
